Stanley Golf Course is Honoring All Veterans

Mayor Erin E. Stewart, Parks and Recreation Commission Chairman Patrick Dorsey, and Vice Chairman Paul Shaker, Sr. are pleased to announce that Stanley Golf Course will be honoring Veterans on Friday, November 11, 2016 with a free greens fee. All military personnel and veterans will receive a free greens fee when they show their Veteran ID card (or similar proof). Veterans are encouraged to relax and enjoy the day that is in their honor by playing a round of golf at beautiful Stanley Golf Course.

Motor Vehicle Tax Bills Delayed

The State of Connecticut's budget is not finalized. Therefore, Mayor Erin Stewart is informing residents that annual motor vehicle bills that are usually due in July will not be a part of the City's regular tax billing scheduled to go out this week.

The parking ban will go into effect at 11:59pm (Midnight) on Monday March 13, 2017 and will likely continue through to Wednesday morning. Parking will be prohibited on all city streets while the ban is in effect.

New Britain's 2016 Grand List Increases

Mayor Erin E. Stewart and City Assessor Michael Konik announced today that the City’s 2016 Grand List has increased by 0.96 percent—adding $23,708,422 in new assessments to the City’s list of taxable property. This is the third consecutive year that the Grand List has had positive growth.
