ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

On Thursday, May 16, 2019, the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 6:00 p.m. in Room 201, City Hall, 27 West Main Street, New Britain, Connecticut, to conduct public hearings for the following applications:

OLD BUSINESS

 

#4821 & #4822:  Joseph Esparo for Outfront Media, LLC is requesting a special exception approval (#4821) pursuant to Section 250-50-10, to permit the installation of a two-sided advertising billboard on an I-2 zoned property; and a variance approval (#4822) to Section 250-80-20.10, in order to allow a digital electronic signboard on the sign at 171 South Street.  Zone:  I-2

 

#4834:   Maria V. Polanco is requesting a variance to Section 130-10, in order to allow a hair salon at 323 West Main Street.  Zone:  OP

4835:   Edgardo Rolon is requesting a variance to Section 230-120-10, in order to allow a rear yard swimming pool at 24 Governor Street.  Zone: T

 

4836:   Domineco Mutone is requesting a variance to Section 60-40-70.01, in order to allow a garage encroachment, 10 feet into the required front yard at 134 Oakwood Drive.  Zone: S-1

 

4837:   Jonathan Randazzois requesting a variance to Section 240-50-40, in order to allow parking in the front yard area at 664 Allen Street.  Zone: S-3

 

4838:   Melissa Ferguson is requesting a variance to Sections 80-40-70.05 and 260-20-50, in order to allow a second floor addition to a nonconforming house at 124 Barnes Street.  Zone: S-3

 

4839:   Amy J. Peters is requesting a variance to Sections 80-40-70.02 and 80-40-70.03, in order to add a carport within a required side yard area at 23 Huber Street.  Zone: S-3

 

4840:   The Hospital for Special Care is requesting a special exception under Section 80-20-70, in order to allow an addition for an autism unit at the HSC facility at 2150 Corbin Avenue.  Zone: S-3/A-1

 

4841:   Kimberly Figueredo is requesting a variance to Sections 90-10 and 90-40-20, in order to add a basement apartment unit to a nonconforming three-family house at 434-436 Church Street.  Zone: T

 

4842:   Almotaser Real Estate Holdings, LLC is requesting a variance to Section 80-10, in order to open a convenience store and take-out restaurant at 2005 Corbin Avenue.  Zone: S-3

 

4843:   Wilmarys Colon is requesting a variance to Sections 100-40-70.02 and 100-40-70.05, in order to allow a rear yard deck and a small rear yard swimming pool at 516 Burritt Street.  Zone: A-1
