WHAT: The Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York Mr. Maciej Golubiewski, the Honorary Consul of Poland in Connecticut Darek Barcikowski, and Mayor Erin Stewart invite the public to attend a historic visit to New Britain by Polish President Andrzej Duda and his spouse.
WHEN: Sunday, September 22, 2019 – 3 p.m.
WHERE: Various locations throughout New Britain, Connecticut. Main event open to the public is at 3 p.m. at Walnut Hill Park – Darius Miller Band Shell

New Britain, which is home to Little Poland—a business district with over 100 Polish-owned businesses—will welcome a sitting Polish President for the first time in history.
“As a City with a connection to Poland dating back more than 150 years, we are honored to welcome President Andrzej Duda. This historic visit will be an opportunity to showcase the amazing Polish community we have right here in our City, as well as a time to rally around building strong relations between the United States and Poland,” said Mayor Erin Stewart.
“This will be a tremendous event for Polish Americans in Connecticut, which make up nearly 10 percent of the state’s entire population. Polish culture, heritage and history are deeply rooted in our state ,” said Honorary Consul Darek Barcikowski.
The public will be required to pre-register for the event at Walnut Hill Park by visiting www.presidentDudaCT.com. Due to security measures, please arrive at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the event.
