CITY OF NEW BRITAIN RECEIVES $650,000 GRANT TO AID IN OPIOID TASK FORCE
NEW BRITAIN—The City of New Britain has been awarded a $650,000 Overdose Data to Action grant from the Center for Disease Control to aid individuals struggling with opioid addiction and treatment by leveraging data to better understand and respond to the epidemic in the community.
MAYOR WAIVES DOWNTOWN PARKING FEES FOR REMAINDER OF THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON
NEW BRITAIN—Mayor Erin E. Stewart is announcing that beginning Monday, Dec. 23rd, she will suspend parking meter fees in the downtown area to provide up to two hours of free parking for holiday shoppers. Regular meter rates and enforcement will resume at 7 a.m. on Thursday, January 2.
The Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York Mr. Maciej Golubiewski, the Honorary Consul of Poland in Connecticut Darek Barcikowski, and Mayor Erin Stewart invite the public to attend a historic visit to New Britain by Polish President Andrzej Duda and his spouse.
